WNC Healthy Kids

WNC Healthy KidsSpecial thanks to the WNC Healthy Kids team for contributing 5-2-1 Almost None educational materials to our Cooking Local & Cooking Local Together Projects.  We have also been the generous recipients of shared marketing through guest blog posts, newsletter mentions, and an invitation to present our program information at the 2013 Regional Stakeholders meeting.

WNC Healthy Kids is a population health program of WNC Health Network, an association of hospitals and health departments in the region.  The program is designed to reduce and prevent childhood obesity in Western North Carolina.  Sixteen rural Appalachian counties are collaborating on this program including—Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Yancy and the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians.
