 The Haywood County farm map is a great resource that lists more than 40 locations to buy locally grown plants, produce, Christmas trees, and more. Featured sites include farm stands, plant nurseries, tailgate markets, trout farms, and places where you can ride horses or go on a llama trek. The brochure also includes a calendar of farm-related events and activities.
The brochure is available at the Haywood County visitor centers in Balsam, Canton, and Waynesville; the Haywood County and Maggie Valley Chambers of Commerce; and Haywood County Cooperative Extension.
The brochure is a joint effort of the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project and Buy Haywood. The brochure was sponsored by the Haywood County Tourism Development Authority, Blue Ridge National Heritage Area, Haywood Advancement Foundation, Bethel Rural Community Organization, and North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
